CAD Designer / Drafter
The role:
Our client is a growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced CAD Designer / Drafter to support projects from initial concept development and system design through to project handover.
Responsibilities include; but not limited to:
- Undertaking detailed CAD design of new & existing systems concept designs for all projects (process, pipework, equipment, packaging lines, overall factory floor layouts)
- Liaising with internal project stakeholders regarding project deadlines & requirements
- Coordinating with stakeholders across numerous divisions
- Track progress and review design as required to ensure requirements are met and provide packaging & product samples as required
- Installation & commissioning of new equipment
- Support the validation process of new equipment
- Develop detailed documentation for production & maintenance where required
- Development of project & system documentation (valve & equipment schedules, operating manuals etc.)
- Following company standards throughout all project duties
- General administration duties
To be successful you will possess:- Tertiary qualification in Engineering and/or Design
- Proven experience in detail drafting process pipework, ideally in a pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry
- 3D CAD design & drafting, ideally in Autodesk Inventor
- High level computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and delivery of detailed and demanding projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under-pressure and effectively collaborate with multiple and varied stakeholders
- Proactive, ‘can-do’ and positive attitude
