Purchasing / Administration Officer

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer of specialised cable who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing / Administration Officer to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include; but not limited to:
  • Liaising with suppliers and build and maintaining existing relationships
  • Assisting with stock level monitoring and reports
  • Analysing and reviewing any matters regarding quotations, and pricing
  • Track and manage deliveries by communicating regularly with Freight Forwarding suppliers
  • Prepare and process purchase orders
  • Ensuring that the best possible price is obtained using various resources
  • Administration

To be successful for this role you must:
  • Experience working in a similar role within a fast paced environment desired
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Have excellent negotiation, problem solving and planning skills
  • Exceptional Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience in building strong professional working relationships with customers both --internal and external
  • Computer/IT literate
