R&D Laboratory Administrator

Seeking:

  • Laboratory Administrator for the R&D department

Location:

  • South Eastern Suburbs (near Clayton)

Industry:

  • Pharmaceutical

Role objective:

  • Provide administrative support to the Research and Development (R&D) Technical -department in their provision of technical services to internal and external customers.

Day to day requirements of the role:

  • Be proactive in organising work under your control and ensure the work is done according to a prioritized list.
  • As required, liaise with Sales Department and customers regarding new product developments or introductions.
  • Prepare quotes for services including development work, stability testing and validations.
  • Monitor, order and maintain stocks of Lab consumables, Lab equipment and packaging.
  • Organise calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Monitor stock of production standards.
  • Send samples to customers and maintain records.
  • Liaise with internal departments and suppliers.
  • As requested, initiate and process change controls.
  • Maintain R&D Technical database and filing system
  • Coordinate the customer invoicing system for R&D Technical services.
  • Assist R&D Technical and other departments with enquiries and administrative support.

To be successful, we are looking for the following:

  • Extensive administrative experience and use of Microsoft Office
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Organised, thorough and detail oriented
  • Proactive in maintaining and following up of any outstanding issues.
  • It is expected that you will have completed a tertiary certificate/diploma in a related scientific field.
  • Previous experience in a technical laboratory is desirable.
