Purpose of the role:

  • Coordinate the Internal Audit program.
  • Coordinate the Corrective and Preventive Action System.
  • Assist in coordinating the Supplier development program.
  • Coordinate the Calibration System.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the company’s Internal Auditing and Corrective Action Systems.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant degree with postgraduate studies in the field of Quality or a minimum of 2 years experience in a related field.
  • Solid understanding of International Standards ie. ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015.
  • Industry recognised Auditor qualifications ideally as a Lead Auditor.

Skills & Attributes
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and the general workforce.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatical or charted form.

Day to day Responsibiltities:
  • Authorised to communicate with Suppliers/Customers in relation to Quality/Service.
  • Authorised to update the Quality and Environmental Manuals in line with Company practices and Standards requirements.
  • Coordinate the Company’s Internal Audit program.
  • Prepare annual and bimonthly audit schedules.
  • Perform system audits consistent with and confirming compliance to the Company’s Quality certification obligations.
  • Assist in auditing the Company’s processes with a view to highlighting and addressing high risk areas to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress of audits and offer assistance and guidance to auditors where necessary.
  • Review audits performed by Internal Auditors for consistency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend changes to existing procedures and systems to ensure compliance with TS16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental standards.
  • Update the Quality & Environmental Manuals to reflect approved changes to existing practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate the Company’s Corrective and Preventive Action system.
  • Monitor customer returns and ensure responses to problems are documented and communicated to the customer.
  • Verify implementation of preventive action prior to closing out of concerns.
  • Analyse the Company’s warranty data, highlight and report on trends and provide recommendations for improvement.

Assist in coordinating the Company’s Supplier development program.
  • Review the Company’s Supplier Manual and carry out system reviews for new and problem suppliers.
  • Assess supplier quality issues and update their rating as per the Supplier Manual .
  • Produce and communicate the supplier annual performance reports in conjunction with the Purchasing department.

Coordinating the Company’s Calibration system.
  • Monitor internal gauge calibration on a monthly basis and report progress.
  • Monitor external gauge calibration and liase with service suppliers.
  • Modify and improve database systems to assist in streamlining data entry and monthly performance reporting.

Must have:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Car & Licence
