Senior Procurement & Purchasing Manager - Pharmaceutical - South Eastern Suburbs
Objective:
Lead and build a solid team that globally sources reliable raw materials for food and pharmaceutical products for a large pharmaceutical and food manufacturer in the South Eastern Suburbs.
Day to Day:
- Raw Material Demand and Stock level Management
- Supplier Management
- Continuous eye on cost and supply improvement
- Trading Term and Contract Negotiation
- Bid evaluations considering all technical and commercial factors
- Provide Strategic Purchasing advice and options
- Lead and manage team members and speak with global team on a regular basis
- Measure and analyze supplier performance against KPI
- Work collaboratively and cohesively with all teams such as Sales, Production, Quality and Safety
To be successful, you must have:- 10+ years experience in purchasing raw materials globally
- Held a purchasing position within the Pharmaceutical, food, chemical industry or relevant industry
- Strong negotiation and sourcing ability
- Managed global suppliers and partners
- Excellent business acumen
- Experience managing a purchasing and/or procurement team
- SAP software knowledge
- Understands both TGA and GMP guidelines
- Flair for networking and building sound professional working relationships
- Customer-centric and able to deal with all levels and different stakeholders
- Excellent ability to forecast and analyse all relevant data and numbers
