Senior Validation Chemist - Large Pharmaceutical Manufacturer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Being pro-active in organizing work & ensure that it is performed according to a priority list.
- Ensuring that all tasks arecompleted accurately & in a timely manner.
- Liaising with manager on a regular basis with regard to the progress of tasks. Notify the manager when issues may be foreseen or as soon as they arise.
- Preparing new procedures/protocols as required.
- Where required, preparing samples for other departments (micro) for testing.
- Liaising with other departments & external testing laboratories where necessary.
- Monitoring mixing, filling and cleaning activities as per validation protocols.
- Perform activities (such as sampling, swabbing & reporting) as pervalidation protocols.
- When necessary, liaising with production staff to ensure bulk & product samples are collected for validation testing.
- Conducting Validation & Stability testing.
- Liaising with Quality Control regarding testing ofsamples where necessary.
- Conducting analytical method transfers andmethod validations.
- Ensuring all testing is completed in a timely manner & results are reported to manager as soon as the task is completed.
- Advising manager immediately of any OOS results and prepare OOS reports as necessary.
- Maintaining workbooks &documentation in a neat & orderly manner.
- Updating the chromatography schedule list to ensure all testing is recorded.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures &specified test methods to perform testing.
- Ensuring good laboratory practices arefollowed at all times.
- Using laboratory equipment with care & ensuring that it is left clean & in good working order. Report any faults to manager immediately.
- Ensuring the work area is safe & tidy & Occupational Health & Safety Policy is adhered to.
- At all times, being professional when dealing with fellow team members, clients or other persons.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of development projects, results & information obtained during the course of your employment.
- Completing other tasks as assigned to you by your manager.
Must have:- A Degree with a major in chemistry/applied chemistry or related subject.
- Previous applied chemistry experience in product validations and/or quality control.
- Permanent Residency, AU or NZ Citizenship
